As an agency advocating for victims of child abuse, Childhelp understands the positive effect of spaces that provide comfort and safety for those entrusted to their care. Partnering with them for a second time in developing one of these places was an honor.

The importance of these settings is to provide a “soft landing” for children and teens during difficult times. Applying the calm essence of the Phoenix location, we worked closely with the Knoxville team in developing a space to fit their needs.

Nicomia designed and illustrated the complete space, built and shipped all of the fixtures and coordinated the mural painting and fixture installation with crews based in Knoxville. Our floorplan layout and detailed installation guides for the on-site work made for a smooth and successful installation.

These kinds of elements are a joy for our team to create as they can express their creativity through composition and construction. A few of our favorites are the willow tree constructed of a chunky strips of reclaimed walnut and a dreamy little blue boat that floats on the “watery” floor.
