Children’s Museum Tucson: Imagine It

Children’s Museum Tucson: Imagine It

Children’s Museum of Tucson’s IMAGINE IT space is centered on providing kids with an unbridled opportunity to express themselves through creative exploration in art, making & building – letting their imaginations run free!

Joining forces with the museum team, we designed a new landscape of flexible exhibits and seating.

BUILDING ZONE contains building block tables, thinker linkers and other building block systems. Specialty signage mimics building structures above while the kids create their masterpieces below.

ART STUDIO is a series of removable, panels with low relief surfaces created from found objects, textural elements, rope, and wood in all shapes and sizes. Below these panels is a 15’ long easel lined with paint containers allowing many children to simultaneously paint to their hearts content. The area features a colorful acrylic gradient barrier with oversized paint brushes marking the entryway.

MAKER SPACE allows for unstructured manufacture. Workstations, benches and tool walls are centered around a collection of supplies and manipulatives for children to use in any way they imagine, explore, make and share!
